Plot

In the quaint town of Nelson, fire chief C. D. Bales is a charismatic man known for his enormous nose, a physical trait that's both his pride and his complex. His life takes an unexpected turn when a radiant astronomy student, Roxanne, becomes his new neighbor, courtesy of his friend Dixie's rental property. Struck by her beauty and intellect, C.D. finds himself secretly smitten, but his insecurities about his appearance prevent him from confessing his feelings. Meanwhile, C.D. recruits a new member to his firefighting crew - the dashing, but culturally limited, Chris. To Chris, Roxanne is a celestial body he longs to orbit, yet his lack of finesse with women leaves him helpless. In a twist of fate, Chris approaches C.D. for assistance in winning Roxanne's heart, oblivious to the fire chief's own feelings for her. Reluctantly, C.D. agrees, channeling his profound affection for Roxanne into eloquent letters that Chris presents as his own. Roxanne, in turn, becomes enamored with the man behind the passionate prose, believing it to be Chris. As this tangled love triangle unfolds, the question remains: what will transpire once Roxanne discovers the true identity of her poetic suitor? An engaging modern spin on Edmond Rostand's "Cyrano De Bergerac", Roxanne is a tale of unrequited love, self-discovery, and the courage it takes to reveal one's true feelings. It's a narrative journey that explores the depths of the human heart and the power of authenticity in the game of love.
