Plot

At the heart of the bustling city of Bengaluru, the production house of Umapathy Films, renowned for the acclaimed sandalwood movies Hebbuli and Ondalla Eradalla, embarked on a new cinematic journey. Under the seasoned direction of Tharun Kishore Sudhir, a familiar face entered the spotlight - Darshan - whose initial collaboration with Sudhir in the debut movie Chowka had left a lasting impression in 2017. On the 6th of May, 2019, cameras rolled, capturing the essence of the film provisionally titled as D53. As the festive spirit of Christmas swept across the city, the film's title was unveiled - "Roberrt." The first theme poster, released on the 6th of November, 2018, displayed a mesmerizing image of Darshan embodying the mighty Hanuman, with Rama perched on his shoulder. The second theme poster, launched on the eve of the Ramzan festival, further stirred anticipation among the audience. Roberrt is a tale woven around the tranquil life of Raghava, a diligent head cook in a Brahmin's catering unit residing in the historic city of Lucknow with his son, Arjun. Raghava's life is a serene river, flowing gently towards a peaceful existence, his only desire - to provide the best life for his son. However, this calm surface is disrupted when secrets from the past emerge, compelling Raghava to confront and embrace his original avatar. From the vibrant streets of Bengaluru to the ancient cityscape of Lucknow, Roberrt promises a gripping journey of self-discovery, legacy, and the power of past identities. It is a film where tranquility meets turbulence, crafted to leave you on the edge of your seat, longing for the unfolding of a man's journey back to his roots.
