Ridin' on a Rainbow (1941)

As the vibrant spectacle of the showboat sweeps into town, it masks a darker scheme. Two cunning men seize the momentary distraction of the parade to rob the bank. Unbeknownst to the townsfolk, their accomplice is the showboat's beloved clown, Pop. Entrusting the stolen wealth to his innocent daughter Patsy, he instructs her to deliver it at a later rendezvous point along the river. However, Patsy, unaware of her father's criminal alliance, fails to arrive with the money, leading to their imprisonment by the disgruntled thieves. In her desperate plight, Patsy sends her loyal, trained dog back to the showboat for aid. Meanwhile, Gene, an intrepid investigator, is hot on the trail of the bank robbers. His pursuit leads him to the heart of the showboat's underbelly, where he uncovers the unsettling truth about Patsy's father. Driven by a misguided desire to secure his daughter's future, Pop has become entangled in the dangerous web of crime. As the thrilling tale unfolds, every turn of the river brings a new twist and a perilous stand against injustice.
