Ran (1985)

Aging Japanese warlord Hidetori Ichimonji decides to retire and divides his fiefdom between his three loyal sons. But his youngest son, Saburo, believes the three brothers will never get along and will soon be at each other’s throats. He opts to leave the kingdom while his two elder brothers assume power. It isn’t long, however, before the older brothers start plotting against each other and even plan to kill their own father. Now young Saburo must return to the land he left willingly to save his father and restore the estate to a just and peaceful rule.
