In a desperate act of self-destruction, Liz, an alluring yet luckless fraudster, finds her suicide attempt foiled by Aiden, a solitary tow truck driver with a complex past. Rather than rushing her to the much-needed medical attention, Aiden whisks her away to his secluded farmhouse, a place beyond the reach of society. Firm in his delusion, he believes Liz to be his long-lost wife who heartlessly deserted him years ago. Imprisoned within the rustic confines and under the relentless watch of ferocious guard dogs, Liz finds herself trapped in a scenario more daunting than her previous cons. Drawing upon the darkly comedic veins of Buffalo '66, Misery, Black Snake Moan, and Secretary, Puppy emerges as a riveting black comedy that explores the twisted bonds that often ensnare us. Here, Liz must utilize her slick con artist skills to negotiate her freedom, all while playing a dangerous game of deception and survival.
