In the rural tranquility of the countryside, Nathan, portrayed by Gregoire Colin of Beau Travail fame, finds himself embroiled in a family predicament that's about to take a sinister turn. He accompanies his pregnant girlfriend, Claire, to her ancestral home, planning to make the announcement of their impending parenthood and their decision to start a new life in the city. Claire is the ingenious chemical engineer for her family's pesticide company, Lemans, a legacy handed down by her father, Nicolas. The family home, a bucolic farmhouse, is shared with her grandfather Eric, mother Marie, and Uncle David. The peaceful facade of their countryside life soon shatters when Eric and David stumble upon a disturbing sight - several deer lying lifeless on their land. What follows is a fateful decision to organize a hunting party, a seemingly harmless venture that Nathan sees as an opportunity to discuss Claire's future with her father, Nicolas. However, the countryside's serene veneer quickly peels away as they discover the unsettling truth. The water supply is tainted, the river poisoned with pesticide runoff from their factory. Worse still, they find the farm pigs transformed into horrific mutants, nourished by a diseased sow.
