Pray for Death (1985)

In the heart of Tokyo, Akira Saito, a successful businessman, resides with his beloved Japanese-American wife, Aiko, and their two sons, Takeshi and Tomoya. A tantalizing opportunity to relocate to the United States arises, enticing Aiko with the prospect of introducing her kids to their American legacy. Without hesitation, they uproot their lives and venture to Houston, Texas, where they manage a quaint restaurant. However, beneath the veneer of this peaceful family venture, a sinister plot unfolds. The restaurant's back room hides a secret cache of stolen valuables, courtesy of a gang of corrupt local police. Unbeknownst to the Saitos, among these ill-gotten treasures lies the Van Atta necklace, a priceless artifact coveted by a dangerous syndicate. When one renegade cop's greed leads him to pocket the necklace, the syndicate sets its sights on the restaurant's former owner, and soon, the unsuspecting Saitos. The peaceful life of the Saitos takes a harrowing turn when Limehouse, the syndicate's menacing enforcer, kidnaps one of their sons. The ever-composed Akira manages a quiet rescue, but when Limehouse resorts to a hit-and-run incident involving Aiko and Tomoya in his relentless pursuit of the necklace, Akira reaches his breaking point. All this while, Akira has been harboring a menacing secret, a darkness he has kept at bay. But now, pushed to his limits, he decides it's time - time to unleash his darkness and wage a war of his own against the syndicate.
