In a quaint rural town, two preteen brothers, Ryan and Charlie, find themselves navigating the rough waters of a broken marriage. Living with their nurturing mother, Denise, the elder, Ryan, dreams of swapping the countryside's tranquility for the bustling streets of Chicago with their father, Matt. This leaves the introverted Charlie, often the target of schoolyard bullies, in a state of turmoil.
One day, fate weaves an enchanting twist into Charlie's life when he stumbles upon two mystical reindeer on his way home. Convinced that they are none other than Santa's Prancer and his son and heir, also named Prancer, he embarks on a mission to safeguard them at home. As they rally to protect the reindeer, an unforeseen bond begins to rekindle between the estranged brothers.
However, their secret unravels when the reindeers escape, leading to an unfortunate incident with the stern vice-principal, James Klock. Now viewing Prancer as a public menace, Klock demands the reindeer's removal. Undeterred, Charlie embarks on a daring escape with his newfound friends.
With Denise at a loss, it falls to Tom Sullivan, her resourceful ex-boyfriend and local handyman, to come to the rescue. As the drama unfolds, the small town becomes a stage for a heartwarming tale of courage, brotherhood, and the magic of Christmas.
