Nestled within the tranquil retreat of a Palm Springs desert vacation home, a young woman (played by Wendy McColm) finds herself entangled in a unique dating predicament, set up by her slightly older married friends (portrayed by Nora Kirkpatrick and Matt Peters). Swept into an intense blind date experience, she is to meet a total stranger (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) in the intimate setting of their shared weekend getaway. As a cynical millennial, she reluctantly anticipates the encounter, voicing her pessimism during the journey, "These things never work out!".
