Plot

In the sprawling urban landscapes of Austin, Texas, we find Andrew, a publishing executive wrestling with the chains of his past. A man who once found solace in A.A meetings, his world fractures when he stumbles upon his wife's infidelity, setting him on a downward spiral back into his old vices. "Pineapple" is an unflinching gaze into the labyrinth of human frailties, straddling the fine line between redemption and self-destruction. Andrew's descent is as rapid as it is reckless, finding a haven of illicit pleasure at the Yellow Rose, a strip club he stumbles upon in a haze of despair. Here, he entangles himself with Crystal, a hostess whose allure lies not just in her beguiling beauty but the promise of a world steeped in raw sexual energy and the dangerous allure of cocaine. As Andrew oscillates between his paternal instincts toward his pre-teen daughter, Alex, and his growing obsession for Crystal's world, his life unravels into a frenzied whirl of emotions. His ex-wife's disdain, his spiraling debt to his drug supplier, and Crystal's ambiguous intentions all contribute to his growing paranoia. "Pineapple" is a stark exploration of humanity's darkest corners, a tale where the lines blur between man's best and worst. It's an almost voyeuristic journey into rampant drug use, sexual exploration, and the ensuing chaos. Andrew's story is a stark reminder of how swiftly life can descend into chaos, and the question lingers - Is there a path to salvation amidst the wreckage? Can he let go, let God, and find his way back from the precipice?
