Maureen is an American living in Paris, working as the assistant and personal shopper for a difficult celebrity. Maureen is still mourning the death of her twin brother Lewis from a congenital heart condition a few months earlier and seeks signs that his spirit is trying to contact her. She begins to receive both supernatural and text messages, and it is unclear whether these are from Lewis or someone else. Then a shocking crime occurs, and Maureen realizes that the stakes are higher and more dangerous than even she imagined.
