In the thriving sports city of Denver, Thatcher Horton reigns as the proud owner of a bustling sports arena and a duo of athletic teams. Among his roster of players is Bobby Spencer, a close friend of Ken and a key player in Horton's hockey team. After suffering an injury on the ice, Bobby holds onto Horton's verbal promise of financial security, but it soon becomes clear that Horton has no intention of fulfilling this pledge.
