Once Upon A Mattress (2005)

In this whimsically twisted version of the fairy tale classic, "The Princess and the Pea", the domineering Queen Aggravain has decreed that no one in her kingdom may wed before her son, the lovable but naïve Prince Dauntless, finds a bride. However, the queen cunningly undermines every prospective princess who dares to enter her realm. Amidst this matrimonial chaos, Sir Harry and Lady Larken, who are expecting a child out of wedlock, are in a desperate race against time. In his quest for a potential bride, Sir Harry ventures into the marshes and returns with the unorthodox Princess Winnifred - a woman known as "Fred" amongst her peers. The queen is aghast at the sight of Winnifred and promptly hatches a plot to oust her. Yet, with the unlikely alliance of Sir Harry, the silent King, and the witty Jester on her side, Winnifred proves to be a royal contender who isn't easily thwarted.
