In the sun-soaked suburb of Tarzana, California, lives the hardworking, mild-mannered Jerry Landers, an Assistant Manager at a bustling Food World supermarket. Devoted to his wife Bobbie and their two pre-teen children, Adam and Becky, Jerry's life is a tapestry of everyday routine. However, this unremarkable existence takes an extraordinary twist when a hand-delivered note lands in his mailbox, inviting him to an exclusive interview with none other than God Himself. Initially dismissing the note as a practical joke from his friend Artie Coogan, Jerry finds himself compelled by a string of circumstances to attend the meeting. To his astonishment, he comes face to face with the divine entity, who, in all his celestial glory, charges Jerry with a mission akin to that of a modern-day Moses. Jerry, a decent man but not particularly religious, is tasked with conveying a message to humanity. God, disappointed with the world's current state, wishes to remind mankind that all the necessary components for a successful existence have been provided. The task of using these components wisely, however, falls upon humanity itself. Despite his initial skepticism, Jerry accepts his divine mission, only to find himself colliding head-on with one obstacle after another. As he gains a wider audience, he is labeled a lunatic and a fanatic, damaging his reputation and disrupting his family's tranquil life. Undeterred, Jerry soldiers on, driven by his newfound duty. His journey takes him to the doors of eminent theologians and so-called experts, where he must convince them of his divine encounter and the authenticity of God's message. In a world where faith is often twisted for personal gain, as evidenced by characters like Reverend Willie Williams, will Jerry's honorable intentions be recognized, or will he be dismissed as a religious zealot?
