Linda Raines, a skilled illustrator, finds herself unsteadied in the aftermath of a turbulent break-up. In a world where her ex-lover, the esteemed psychotherapist and writer Michael, has been absolved of his ex-wife's murder charges, Linda struggles to discern truth from deceit. As her mental state starts to waver, she becomes haunted by voices and plagued by enigmatic visions, intensifying her disquiet and bewilderment. In an attempt to help her regain her equilibrium, Linda's boss, Paul, recommends a refuge from the chaotic city life - his tranquil, remote vacation home. However, instead of the solace she longs for, her battle with reality escalates on this isolated terrain.
