Plot

In the shadowy underworld of Korea's most formidable crime syndicate Goldmoon, the sudden death of its leader sparks a power tug-of-war between his top two lieutenants. Amidst this volatile climate, the police seize the moment to strike, deploying an unexpected weapon: Ja-sung, the late boss's right-hand man, who has been living a dangerous double life for eight years as a deep-cover operative. Simultaneously treading the line of duty and honor as a law enforcer and the treacherous loyalty to his criminal brethren, Ja-sung's life is further complicated by the impending arrival of his first child and the constant dread of his true identity being revealed. Under the watchful eye of his handler, Police Chief Kang, Ja-sung becomes the linchpin of Operation New World, a high-risk plan designed to dismantle Goldmoon from within. As the operation unfolds, Ja-sung feeds the police vital information, stirring doubt and suspicion amongst the gang, igniting their paranoia of a traitor in their midst. In a ruthless countermove, the increasingly suspicious and ambitious Jung, one of the contenders for the syndicate's throne, hires hackers to infiltrate the police database, escalating the tension to a near-breaking point. As the walls close in, the stakes rise, and a bloody gangland battle looms ominously on the horizon, Ja-sung is driven to a shocking, unexpected decision, a final gambit that no one could have anticipated. In this intricate chess game of power, loyalty, and betrayal, Ja-sung must navigate his treacherous path, torn between obeying Kang's orders as an officer of the law and preserving his allegiance to Jeong Cheong, the powerful under-boss of Goldmoon. His decision will define not only his fate but also the destiny of the New World.
