Plot
Charlotte “Charlie” Brooks is a girl living with her single mother, Marie. One day, Charlie awakens to the smell of delicious food and is stunned to discover a strange black man in her mom’s kitchen. Marie explains that Mr. Church is their new cook. Marie has breast cancer and six months to live. It turns out her wealthy ex-boyfriend hired Mr. Church to help for six months. However, Marie’s cancer recedes and she lives on. Charlie and Marie opt to keep Mr. Church on permanently and are they about to discover many amazing new things about Mr. Chruch.
