Moomins and the Comet Chase (2010)

In the ordinarily vibrant world of Moomin Valley, Moomintroll awakens one day to a landscape swallowed by grey. The once-colorful flora, the bubbling river, even their own cheery Moominhouse, all are trapped in a stifling monotone. Seeking answers, Moomintroll turns to the knowledgeable Muskrat, who ominously suggests this could be a harbinger of a catastrophic event descending from the cosmos. Undeterred, Moomintroll, along with his steadfast father Moominpappa, rallies his anxious companions and crafts a magnificent raft. Together, they embark on a perilous expedition to the distant observatory, pinning their hopes on the erudite professors who might unravel this celestial mystery. The journey is fraught with trials and tribulations, but also peppered with encounters with familiar faces and unexpected allies. Upon arrival, the professor's chilling revelation sends a shiver down their spines: a colossal comet, fierce and unyielding, is hurtling towards Earth, expected to strike in exactly four days, four hours, four minutes and maybe 44 seconds. With the ticking clock echoing in their ears, our heroic troupe must navigate their way back home, outwitting an assortment of peculiar creatures and evading a medley of hazards along the way. As the seconds slip away, the question remains: can they ensure everyone reaches the safety of the Moominhouse before the comet arrives? The fate of Moomin Valley hangs in the balance, as the Moomins race against time in this heart-pounding adventure.
