In the heart of the Swedish summer, 1894, the night air is electric with more than just midsummer magic. The intricate tapestry of social hierarchy entraps two disparate souls - Miss Julie, the privileged yet naïve heiress of the manor, and Jean, a well-spoken footman whose worldliness sets him apart from his station. Under the guise of the servant's festive dance, Miss Julie dares to step beyond her noble confines, her curiosity drawn like a moth to the flame to Jean's unyielding demeanor. As the manor sleeps, the two find themselves locked in a nocturnal discourse within the manor's kitchen.
