Plot

In the vibrant chaos of 1930s Hong Kong, "Miracles" interweaves the raw energy of Jackie Chan's dynamic performance with the classic charm of Frank Capra's "A Pocketful of Miracles." The tale unfurls with a country boy, played by Chan, who sparks an unexpected friendship with a struggling gang boss after a timely rescue. A chance purchase of lucky roses from an elderly vendor catapults him into the dizzying world of mob leadership. Simultaneously, the plot entwines the lives of a singer from the gang's nightclub, the old rose-seller, and her visiting daughter in a narrative tapestry of intertwined fates. As the new gang leader, Chan, together with the nightclub singer, endeavor to orchestrate a good deed for the unsuspecting old lady, their actions set off a chain of events that hold the audience captive. With rival gangs nipping at their heels, the unlikely duo must navigate the treacherous waters of the criminal underworld, juggle their blossoming friendship, and execute their well-intentioned plan. All the while, a tapestry of comedy, action, and heart unfolds, presenting a story that's as unpredictable as it is captivating. "Miracles" is an intricate ballet of luck, loyalty, and love set against the backdrop of a city caught between tradition and progress.
