Plot

Caught in the choking grasp of financial distress, family man and farmer John Rollins is on the brink of despair. A relentless drought, the merciless crows ravaging his cornfield, and an impending mortgage foreclosure are the burdens he bears. His marriage teeters on the precipice of crisis, with his wife Mary's attention drifting towards her friend Tommy. Amidst this turmoil, John stumbles upon a hidden compartment in his barn, housing a sinister scarecrow that sends chills down his spine. Despite the eerie presence of this scarecrow, and his son Michael's plea to destroy it, Rollins finds himself influenced by his neighbor, Jude Weatherby. Under the convincing guise of neighborly advice and a six-pack of beer, Weatherby persuades John to place the scarecrow amongst his dying crops. In the blink of an eye, John's world turns around. The crows that once threatened his livelihood meet a swift end, the parched land drinks from a miraculously repaired pump, and the banker who held his future in his hands meets an untimely demise. But as the relief washes over him, John is gripped by an unsettling realization. He feels an evil presence seeping into his land, a dark force that came with the scarecrow. The prosperity he initially enjoyed seems fleeting, as the scarecrow's true nature begins to unfurl. As the shadow of this ancient evil looms over his family, John must grapple with the consequences of his desperate act. In his quest to protect his family and livelihood, he's invited a malevolent entity onto his farm. Will his luck last, or will he pay a price far too steep for his desperate actions?
