Plot

In the volatile heart of medieval Korea, during the Goryo Dynasty, a trio of warriors - Deok-ki, Poong-chun, and Seol-rang - ignite a rebellion against the king and his foreign allies from Kitan, China. Tragically, their united front crumbles when Deok-ki's treachery leads to Poong-chun's demise. However, amidst the chaos, Seol-rang manages to escape, clutching both Poong-chun's young daughter, Seol-hee, and her sword to her bosom. Eighteen years pass in the blink of an eye, and Seol-rang, though now blinded by time, has nurtured and trained Seol-hee into a formidable warrior, her heart ablaze with the fires of revenge. The echoes of the past resonate in their present, reminding them of the blood they must spill to achieve redemption. Yet, their path to vengeance is fraught with peril, for Deok-ki has ascended to the zenith of power, becoming one of the most influential men in the country. Embarking on a quest that tests the very limits of their courage and resolve, Seol-hee, guided by Seol-rang's wisdom, must confront her parents' betrayer, a formidable adversary who embodies the might of the Goryo Dynasty. As she draws closer to the heart of her enemy's power, the young avenger must grapple with her destiny, her thirst for revenge set against the immense power of one of the greatest warriors of her time. In the shadowy labyrinth of power and betrayal, Memories of the Sword is a compelling tale of vengeance, courage, and the indomitable spirit of a young woman hell-bent on justice. It invites viewers to question: In a world steeped in corruption and treachery, is spilling blood the only path to redemption?
