Plot

In the heartwarming romantic comedy, Marriage Blue, we follow the engaging and tumultuous journey of four couples, each on the precipice of matrimony. Tae-kyu, a former baseball pro turned minor league coach, is set to marry Joo-young, a successful urologist. Having weathered a breakup and subsequent reconciliation, their relationship is tested once more when Tae-kyu uncovers a secret about Joo-young's past, igniting feelings of betrayal and jealousy, and an unhealthy obsession with her previous relationships. Chef Won-chul and nail artist So-mi, a pair deeply entrenched in their seven-year relationship, are also on the course to wedded bliss. However, as their big day looms, So-mi questions Won-chul's passion for her, suspecting their relationship has become more of a convenient arrangement than a love-filled union. A trip to Jeju Island for a nail art competition introduces her to the charming Kyung-soo, a tour guide and web comic writer, sparking unexpected feelings of attraction. Meanwhile, the endearing middle-aged bachelor Geon-ho, owner of a flower shop, is preparing to marry the beautiful and much younger Vika from Uzbekistan. However, an unexpected bout of erectile dysfunction, coupled with feelings of inadequacy, leads him to wonder if Vika's intentions are genuine or merely a scheme to secure Korean citizenship. Lastly, we meet Dae-bok, an employee at Joo-young's clinic, who starts a relationship with Yi-ra, a wedding planner. Their whirlwind romance takes a surprising turn when Yi-ra announces her pregnancy during a baseball game, prompting an immediate proposal from Dae-bok. Yet, as they prepare for their wedding, constant arguments and Yi-ra's cynical attitude towards their future together push Dae-bok into a desperate struggle to convince her of their long-term potential. Marriage Blue is a captivating exploration of love, commitment, and the trials and tribulations that come with the journey to the altar.
