Plot

Donny, a brazen New Yorker with a passion for dance, finds himself entangled in a criminal act during a stint in New Orleans. After a spell in jail, he's released on parole, his rhythmic feet his only means of livelihood. However, his parole officer's restrictive terms force him to suppress his dance-driven spirit, urging him towards conventional employment. Resolute in his pursuit of dance, Donny defies the constraints of his parole and returns to his beloved city, New York. In New York, Donny seeks help from his foster brother, Nicky, a flamboyant club owner embroiled in a bitter business feud. Nicky's estranged partner, Kaz, has succumbed to the allure of a wealthy magnate, Michael Griffiths, leaving Nicky's club in the shadows of Manhattan's glimmering nightlife. Amid the brewing storm, Kaz's sister, Aya, a gifted performer leading an all-female Asian percussion band, is fighting her own battle. A looming threat of deportation back to Japan hangs over her unless she lands a stable job, making her immune to Michael's advances. When Donny's path crosses with Aya's, an undeniable attraction sparks between them, despite Nicky's stern warning to stay away. As their relationship deepens, they find themselves caught in a web of conflicting loyalties, navigating the ruthless tides of the nightlife business and their personal desires. "Make Your Move" is a vibrant dance of passion and perseverance, a tale of dreams clashing with reality, and love struggling against all odds.
