In the bustling city of Chicago, Megan Quinn, a thirty-year-old Client Relations Supervisor for the prestigious development firm, Stoneland Properties, finds herself at a crossroads. With her roots firmly planted in the realm of people skills, nurtured in her family's heartwarming eatery, Rosie's Diner, she has always aspired to utilize her Architecture degree to transition to the design aspect of the firm. Balancing her successful career with a budding relationship, Megan's life takes an unexpected twist when her ambitious lawyer boyfriend, Philip Carter, hints at the prospect of marriage, and Jordan St. Clair, an executive VP at Stoneland, entrusts her with a challenging assignment. Megan must convince the obstinate Frances Figgins, a lifelong acquaintance, to sell her property, pivotal for a proposed shopping center development on Sapphire Lake, situated on the outskirts of Cedarvale, Oregon, Megan's cherished hometown.
