In the bustling heart of New York City, Emma Colvin, a meticulous food stylist and passionate cupcake baker, finds comfort in the familiar and predictable. Averse to taking risks, she meticulously plans a romantic pre-Valentine's getaway to the enchanting city of Bruges with her boyfriend, Todd. The choice of destination was inspired by the love story of her grandparents, whose romantic mementos she treasures. However, the trip takes an unexpected turn when Todd breaks up with her and chooses a career move over their relationship. Despite her heartbreak, Emma, encouraged by a friend, decides to embrace the unknown and venture to Bruges alone. Upon arrival, she learns that the Royal Palace - a significant landmark in her grandparents' love story - will be closed due to an impending royal wedding. However, a glimmer of hope emerges when she discovers a competition hosted by the Prince and his future bride. Local chocolatiers are invited to create a unique confection for the royal couple's wedding, with the winner to be announced at a grand gala on Valentine's Day. This competition offers Emma a chance to step foot in the Palace, and she seizes the opportunity by offering her culinary skills to Luc Simon, a second-generation chocolatier known for his traditional chocolate flavors. As they navigate their differences and engage in a sweet collaboration, a spark of romance ignites between them.
