Plot

In the shimmering city of Los Angeles lives Natalie (Nina Dobrev), a journalist with a romantic soul but a perpetually single status. Her life takes an unexpected turn when her heart flutters for Tag (Darren Barnet), a charming East Coast man she meets on a dating app. Emboldened by newfound hope, she decides to add a spark of surprise to the holiday season by flying across the country to meet her digital darling. However, the holiday cheer quickly dissipates as Natalie stumbles upon a jarring truth. She's been ensnared in the deceptive web of catfishing, orchestrated by none other than Tag's childhood friend, the equally love-starved Josh (Jimmy O. Yang). Thus, unfolds an endearing tale of misadventures and missteps, entwining humor and heart in a lighthearted romantic comedy. As Natalie navigates this twist of fate, her journey to find love becomes a captivating chronicle. Caught between the mirage of her dreamy East Coast love and the tangible, unexpected connection with Josh, she embarks on an attempt to reel in the elusive emotion that is love. Amid the holiday lights and under the watchful gaze of the City of Angels, the narrative weaves a tale of love, laughter, and the unexpected turns that life often takes on the road to finding true love.
