In the underbelly of Belgium, two Albanian immigrants, Sokol and Lorna, are caught in the drudgery of their day jobs, longing to break free and start their own snack bar. Their dreams are stifled by their need for two things: money and permanent residence status. Claudy, a local junkie, is in desperate need of money, seeking a solution to his escalating addiction. Andrei, a wealthy Russian cigarette smuggler, yearns for a pause from his homeland, equipped with a substantial fortune. Fabio, an ambitious Italian taxi driver with dreams of becoming a mob boss, orchestrates a cunning plan: he'll arrange for Claudy to marry Lorna, paving her way to Belgian citizenship. The next stage of the plan involves Lorna's remarriage to Andrei, providing him with a prized EU passport. In return, Fabio and Lorna will receive a generous payoff from Andrei. But as life tends to prove, even the best-laid plans can unravel when they collide with the unpredictable nature of reality.
