Plot

In the quaint suburban backdrop of Little Secrets, we're introduced to Emily Lindstrom, a 14-year-old violin prodigy with a unique business venture. Emily is a magnet for her young neighbors' deepest secrets, setting up a backyard booth every Wednesday where she offers her services as the neighborhood Secret Keeper. For just 50 cents, Emily promises to guard your most private confessions, drawing in an innocent but guilty clientele, including the new kid on the block, Philip. Philip, a clumsy 12-year-old with a fondness for expensive chess pieces, becomes not only a regular at Emily's booth but also a close friend and her most challenging client. His interest in Emily and his knack for getting into trouble adds a comedic layer to the narrative. Yet, as Emily dedicates her summer to mastering her violin for a crucial audition, she must navigate the challenges of adolescence, a burgeoning friendship, and the impending arrival of a new sibling her parents seem overly preoccupied with. As the summer heat intensifies, so does the weight of Emily's responsibility. She finds herself juggling her secrets, her clients' confessions, and a special secret Philip entrusts to her. The usually trustworthy Secret Keeper stumbles under this burden, as her personal and professional worlds collide, causing her life to momentarily spiral out of control. Little Secrets is a charming tale of trust, friendship, and the trials of early adulthood, showcasing an extraordinary young girl's journey navigating the complexities of life while trying to remain true to her unique calling.
