Plot

In the chilling narrative of Little Odessa, we delve into the bleak story of a fragmented family. The protagonist, Joshua, is an icy-hearted assassin who dares to venture back into the heart of his childhood home in Brighton Beach for a lethal assignment. We glimpse into his tormented psyche as he confronts the stark memories of his past in the Russian-immigrant enclave he once called home. His return reopens old wounds and stirs a torrent of emotional chaos, the anticipation of which flickers in his hardened gaze. To execute his mission and preserve a thread of his sanity, Joshua has learned to barricade his humanity even from himself. However, his impenetrable facade begins to fracture upon the sight of his adoring younger brother, his terminally ill mother who harbors an undying affection for him, and his domineering, abusive father. As his icy exterior gradually melts away, we bear witness to the disintegration of a hitman's soul, fragment by tragically poignant fragment. The few precious things he allows himself to cherish are heart-wrenchingly ripped away, leaving him to endure the ultimate retribution for his sins. The narrative of Little Odessa is a raw and haunting exploration of a man's descent into his own emotional abyss.
