Plot

In the vibrant world of a shared summer camp, fifteen-year-olds Ferris Whitney and Angel Bright find themselves as unlikely bunkmates. Ferris, a romantic and literate belle from a privileged background, clashes instantly with Angel, a street-savvy, chain-smoking rebel from the wrong side of town. Despite their contrasting worlds, they share an intimate secret - they are the remaining virgins in their cabin, a fact not lost on their provocative cabin mate, Cinder Carlson. Under the relentless pressure of their peers, Ferris and Angel are entangled in a high-stakes wager - a race to lose their innocence by summer's end. Ferris, initially more intrigued by the opposite sex, sets her eyes on the camp's older, charming coach, Gary Callahan. Angel, however, finds her match in Randy Adams, a street-smart boy from a rival camp. As the summer days unfold, the seemingly frivolous bet morphs into a profound bonding experience for the girls. They navigate their way through this rite of passage, each choosing distinct paths towards their common goal, dealing with the consequences of their actions, and discovering the complexities of adolescence and friendship. This engaging tale of growing up paints a vivid picture of youth, camaraderie, and the transformative power of a single summer.
