Cloistered within a serene institution near the bustling heart of London, a Cambodian-Chinese mother is ensnared within the throes of grief, having lost her son, the last vestige of her family. The echoes of her mourning reverberate through the corridors of her solitude, only to be interrupted by the arrival of an enigmatic stranger. In the wake of their shared loss, the stranger, who is revealed to be her departed son's lover, embarks on a painstaking journey to bridge the chasm of language and emotion that separates them. As the London skyline continues to pulse outside their cocoon of sorrow, the pair grapple to intertwine their realities, their cultures, and their hearts, each shattered by the untimely demise of the man they both loved. Navigating the labyrinth of grief, they begin to stitch together the fragmented tableau of their beloved through the veil of their respective memories, aided by the intervention of a translator. Amidst the remnants of their loss, they attempt to carve out a semblance of understanding and acceptance.
