In the chaotic universe of the racetrack, Trotter, an ordinary taxi driver with an extraordinary addiction to gambling, stumbles upon a chance that might just be his golden ticket. On the heels of a solemn promise to his wife to renounce his risky pastime, Trotter is inadvertently lured back into the thrilling vortex of high stakes and fast tracks by a recorded tip from a fellow cabbie, a tip that promises a sure-fire win.
