In the colourful underbelly of Bombay, we meet the affable Murliprasad, better known as Munna Bhai, a gangster with a heart of gold. When he falls head over heels for the charming radio hostess, Jhanvi, he transforms into a Gandhian scholar to win her affection. His performance is so convincing that he not only ends up on her radio show but also secures a special place in her heart and her elders' home, aptly named '2nd Innings'. Meanwhile, his loyal sidekick, Sarkeshwar, fondly known as Circuit, unknowingly assists in the eviction of '2nd Innings' residents by a cunning builder, Lakhbir Singh alias Lucky. As Munna and the residents embark on a trip to Goa, Lucky seizes the opportunity to take over '2nd Innings', planning to use it as a dowry for his daughter's impending marriage. Upon discovering this, an enraged Munna is ready to reclaim the house, but in keeping with his new Gandhian persona, he opts for a peaceful Satyagraha protest in front of Lucky's mansion. The peaceful protest and a twist of negative radio publicity force Lucky to reconsider, but not before he attempts to tarnish Munna's credibility by revealing his secret conversations with the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi himself. When Jhanvi learns the truth about Munna, the situation spirals. However, Munna, with the spectral Gandhi as his guide, is determined to win back her trust, teach Lucky a lesson in humility, and reclaim '2nd Innings'. As Munna navigates this challenging path, the line between his gangster past and Gandhian persona blurs, leading to a series of hilarious, heartwarming, and unexpected events.
