Kon-Tiki (2012)

Thor Heyerdahl had an unconventional theory, but he was willing to go to dramatic results to prove it right. His contention that South Americans could have settled Polynesia in the times before Columbus were scoffed at by the European supremacist philosophies of 1947, but Thor sets out to prove them wrong by undertaking the journey using only the tools that would have been available to them. It's a dangerous journey with little in the way of protection, but Thor is confident enough in his assertion that he's willing to put both his career and his life on the line for it.

Kon-Tiki is an adventure movie featuring Pål Sverre Hagen and directed by Espen Sandberg.
