Just a Sigh (2013)

In a serendipitous collision of fate, the paths of Alix and Doug intertwine. Strangers, they embark on a Paris-bound train, each en route to a different destiny. Alix, a vibrant actress fresh from a performance in an Ibsen play in Calais, is headed to the city of lights for a film audition. Concurrently, Doug, a reserved literature professor from England, is on his way to bid farewell to a cherished friend. Their encounter wasn't in the script of life, yet destiny had its own story to tell. Caught at the junction of her relationship, Alix finds herself drawn to the intriguing stranger, the calm to her storm. Doug, weighed down by grief yet bewitched by her charm, involuntarily reciprocates. What was meant to be a mere chance encounter morphs into an overwhelming upheaval of emotions, far beyond what they'd anticipated. They weren't meant to cross paths, yet they did, sparking a fleeting yet powerful connection on their unexpected Parisian odyssey.
