Tommy Collins, an unemployed male stripper, finds himself in a precarious situation when his mother and her boyfriend decide to elope to Vegas, dragging their mobile home with them and leaving him in the lurch. As his prospects dwindle, a letter of jury summons — initially discarded — becomes his saving grace, pulling him away from a life with dubious relatives and thrusting him into the heart of the judicial system. Tommy, with a theatrical flair for self-preservation, strategically positions himself for long-haul trials, dodging quick cases and eventually landing in the midst of a high-profile murder case.
