In the heart of a Chinese village, a masked vigilante, known only as "Iron Monkey", weaves a tale of rebellion, stealing from the corrupt officials who gorge on the people's suffering. This mysterious figure, named after a revered deity, emerges from the shadows, a Hong Kong incarnation of Robin Hood, relentless in his quest to aid the impoverished. Caught in this web of deception, an unassuming traveling physician, portrayed by the charismatic Donnie Yen, finds himself strong-armed by the desperate Governor. His mission: to unmask the elusive Iron Monkey, a task easier said than done.
