Plot

In the year 1991, we find Chan Wing Yan and Yeung Kam Wing as ambitious police school trainers. Chan, a superior talent, is expelled due to a rules violation, paving the way for Yeung to graduate as the top of the class. A dozen years later, Yeung, now a distinguished police officer, is working in different departments under Lau, and also partnering with his inspector friend Shen Chen. Their paths cross with Chan, Yeung's spy who, after a mission goes awry, attempts to kill Yeung. However, Yeung turns the tables and kills Chan in self-defense. Amidst this tumultuous backdrop, a curious game of cat and mouse ensues. Lau, suspicious of Yeung's dealings, gifts him a car park seat, number B3A6, a veiled invitation to a dangerous game of deception and intrigue. As Yeung and Sam, a notorious triad, exchange whispered secrets, Lau meticulously records their conversations, hoping to unmask Yeung and expose his murky dealings to their police superiors. However, Yeung's trusted friend Shen Chen, steps in, swapping Lau's incriminating tape with one that leaves Lau exposed, his own dubious dealings with Sam echoing in the room as he attempts to play Yeung's recorded conversation. Lau, caught in his own web of deception, laments his situation, expressing a deep-seated desire to be an upright police officer. In a tense confrontation, Lau, desperate and cornered, shoots Yeung, claiming he too, is a police officer. As Yeung lies dying, he reveals the truth to Chan about their police school days, confessing that had Chan not been expelled, Yeung would never have topped the class. In the aftermath, Lau is hospitalized, where he reunites with his girlfriend, who reveals she is pregnant with his child. Meanwhile, the psychologist meets Shen Chen, discussing the twisted fate that led to these events. As they pay their respects to their fallen comrades, they reflect on the power of chance over destiny, and how despite the unyielding nature of circumstances, Chan, Yeung, and Lau managed to change some things for themselves. They acknowledge that they must move forward, leaving the past behind, ready to face an uncertain tomorrow.
