Once reigning as a pop sensation from the heart of New York City, Darcy is deemed by some as the finest vocalist of her era. Yet, that era seems to have faded away, leaving her with a dwindling fan base who yearn only for Sugar Rush, her celebrated hit from yesteryears. With her latest records falling on deaf ears and her festive concert series, "A Very Darcy Christmas," failing to reignite her fame, she finds herself at a crossroads. In a bold move, Darcy chooses to retreat from the city's glare, accepting an invitation from her bereaved sister, Gretchen, to spend Christmas in their quaint hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Amid the familiar surroundings, Darcy is introduced to Gretchen's daughter, Megan, a young girl struggling to find her voice at McIntosh High, the same school where Darcy's own musical journey began. When Megan is rejected from the school's famed Herald Angels, a caroling group founded by Darcy herself, Darcy uncovers a bitter rivalry from her past. Adam, her high school adversary and the current conductor of the Angels, is responsible for Megan's dismissal, despite leading the group to six consecutive victories at the Montgomery County caroling competition. Determined to uplift Megan and rekindle her own love for music, Darcy embarks on a mission to form a rival caroling group, bringing together the voices Adam had dismissed. As she navigates her dynamic with Adam, Darcy's journey becomes more than a fight for musical recognition; it's a path to rediscovering her priorities between her career, family, romance, and the legacy of the Angels.
