Larry MacArthur, a hard-living editor embroiled in the fast-paced world of upscale publications, is whisked away to the sun-drenched retreat of Auga Caliente by his concerned publisher, Harold Brandon. His mission: to escape the clutches of his all-consuming vice. Unbeknownst to Larry, he is captivated by the enchanting Rita Gomez, a renowned Spanish dancer whom he once denounced in a scathing review.
Her astute uncle, Jose Gomez, quick to seize an opportunity, orchestrates a scheme to exploit Rita's allure upon noticing Larry's budding interest. Rita, seeking her own retribution for Larry's harsh words, consents to ensnare him in the warm embrace of Caliente. Yet, amidst their game of cat and mouse, an unexpected love ignites. However, their blossoming romance is threatened by the presence of the blonde bombshell, Miss Clara Thorne, a relentless fortune-hunter with her sights set firmly on Larry.
