Following a narrow defeat in the Association of Volleyball Professionals' semi-final clash, Kelly Reyes, a determined volleyball player, draws the interest of a seemingly innocuous print journalist, Holden Gregg. Holden, intrigued by the raw emotion of defeat, asks for an interview. This request spirals into an evening of dinner and unexpected intimacy. However, the game of life throws a curveball when a tragic hit-and-run claims the life of a player from the victorious team, thrusting Kelly into the vacant spot for the upcoming championship. As the police delve into the incident, unsettling revelations suggest that Kelly might be the next target, and Holden's true identity becomes shrouded in mystery.
