I Married a Woman (1958)

In the bustling world of the Sutton Advertising Agency, we meet our protagonist, Marshall Briggs, the mastermind behind the successful "Miss Luxenberg" beauty pageant that catapulted Luxenberg Beer onto the national stage. Not only did this contest revolutionize the beer industry, it also serendipitously led to Marshall's marriage to the radiant contest winner, Janice Blake. Under the relentless pressure of his demanding boss, Frederick W. Sutton, Marshall finds himself in a creative drought, struggling to conjure up a fresh advertising idea that could rival his previous success. This professional turmoil spills over into Marshall's personal life, causing him to unintentionally neglect his wife. Janice, now expecting their first child, is fed with misleading suggestions by her suspicious mother, painting a picture of a philandering Marshall. In a desperate attempt to salvage both his career and marriage, Marshall devises an innovative plan - a "Mrs. Luxenberg" contest. He intends to rally all the past "Miss Luxenberg" winners, now married, for a grand reunion.
