Plot

In the heart of suburban New York, four white-collar professionals, Archie, Gus, Harry, and Stuart, navigate the mundane realities of middle age. They are husbands, fathers, and more importantly, lifelong friends bound by a shared sense of immortality. When Stuart, however, unexpectedly dies of a heart attack, the remaining trio feels an overwhelming sense of loss—not just for their deceased friend, but for the invincibility of their youth. In a desperate attempt to reclaim their lost sense of vitality, they embark on a two-day escapade, seeking solace in the reckless abandon of their younger days. But reality, with its inescapable responsibilities of family and work, beckons them back. A pivotal incident involving Harry and his wife, however, triggers a mutual decision to extend their retreat from the real world—an escape both literal and symbolic, to which Archie and Gus willingly comply. As the aftermath of their extended divergence settles, each man is confronted with a profound question: what path should they carve for their immediate future? The answer lies in an introspective journey that navigates their recent experiences since the funeral and the life they've led as adults. The choices they make may reveal a deep-seated truth about their hearts, bringing to light desires that may or may not align with the realities they've come to know.
