Hunger Point (2003)

In the shadow of an insatiable obsession with extreme dieting, the Hunter family struggles, their lives dictated by the mother's unending battle against her own obesity-ridden childhood. One daughter defies the familial norms, pursuing a fulfilling life as a nurse, yet she is haunted by an underlying layer of guilt. Meanwhile, her seemingly perfect sister, a fiercely dedicated law student, is institutionalized due to a severe eating disorder. Resistance to therapy leads to a tragic incident that shatters the parents' marriage. The remaining sister, like her mother, is ensnared in a web of guilt, causing her to end a blossoming relationship with a young doctor at the clinic. However, hope flickers as her grandfather attempts to set her up with his friend's grandson, Charlie, a lawyer. The family's journey through extreme dieting, guilt, and redemption forms the crux of the story, keeping the viewers on the edge of their seats.
