In his mid-thirties, Marko, a burgeoning author and a Berlin resident since his university years, has always felt estranged from the bourgeois existence of his parents, Gitte and Günter. His infrequent sojourns home serve primarily as an opportunity for his parents to bond with their grandson. When Marko plans a tranquil weekend with his family, his expectations are disrupted by Gitte's surprising decision. After experiencing an unexpected health uplift from a homeopathic remedy, she ceases her psychiatric medication, a constant necessity since Marko's childhood. This startling revelation sends ripples through the family, eliciting a cascade of concealed truths that threaten to destabilize the family's carefully maintained equilibrium.
