Heart of the Rockies (1951)

In the heart of the Rockies, highway engineer Roy Rogers is a champion of second chances, throwing his support behind a youth rehabilitation camp fostered by the retired State Prison Warden Parker. This sanctuary for young, first-time offenders could be their ticket to rehabilitation, away from the harsh realities of prison life. However, a storm is brewing. Andrew Willard, whose expansive range is the canvas for a new highway, finds his prized cattle surreptitiously replaced by inferior stock, courtesy of his unscrupulous foreman Devery. Devery, in a masterstroke of deception, orchestrates a stampede, pushing the blame onto Roy's unsuspecting crew, making them the fall guys for the loss of the 'pure-bred' cattle. Roy, despite protests from Willard's niece June, is unceremoniously evicted from the land. The plot thickens when Devery's henchmen, tucked away at Splinters McGonigle's guest ranch, steal an opulent diamond brooch from Mrs. Edsel, pinning the crime on one of the camp boys, Jim Corley. The stakes soar when Warden Parker is killed, and Roy's crew is once again wrongfully accused. Roy finds himself in the eye of the storm, battling not just to clear his crew and the camp boys from the mounting charges, but also to unmask the true villains. The heart of the Rockies is aflame with intrigue, suspense, and a quest for justice, making this cinematic journey one to remember.
