Plot

Head Case (2007) is a chilling dive into the hidden world of Wayne Montgomery, Delaware's infamous serial killer who held his reign of terror from 1986 to 1989. He lived an outwardly unassuming life, masked by the tranquil facade of suburban existence with his wife Andrea. In 1989, Wayne traded his sinister pastime to embrace the ordinary life of a family man. This calm, however, was shattered in 2006 when Wayne, and now Andrea, resurfaced from their retirement, plunging back into their macabre craft. The movie offers a unique perspective through their eyes, revealing the unsettling contrast between their tranquil suburban lives and the unimaginable horrors they inflicted. The film, assembled from hundreds of hours of home footage recorded by Wayne, is a ghastly chronicle of their heinous acts. This voyeuristic documentation, a perverse way for the couple to relive their atrocities, is edited into a feature-length film that unveils the Montgomery's disturbing dual lives. Head Case, directed by award-winning filmmaker Anthony Spadaccini, is a shocking narrative pieced together with the consent of the victims' families. It presents an unnerving exploration of the monstrous deeds concealed behind the Montgomery's seemingly ordinary existence, creating an unforgettable journey into the depths of human depravity.
