Hangman (2017)

Hangman is a common children’s game of spelling that is used as the basis for a serial killer. He has his own twisted version of the game that he uses to choose his next victim. The detectives who have been asked to take the case have to figure it out to prevent the next killing. The main homicide detective is ex-FBI. He asks his previous partner, who is retired and a decorated detective, to help. Their efforts are documented by a crime journalist who also tries to help figure out what the killer will do next with insights from her own understanding of the criminal mind.
