Plot

In the bustling whirlwind of life, the adult Mozell sisters each carve out their own distinct identities. Georgia, the ambitious editor of her own thriving women's magazine, is always on the hunt for the next big story, publicity being her lifeblood. Eve, a dedicated party planner, assumes the mantle of the family's emotional pillar, her nurturing instincts extending far beyond her immediate family, encompassing her siblings and their estranged father. Maddy, lost in the glamorous yet shallow world of soap opera acting, grapples with the constant struggle to find herself. However, it is Eve who shoulders the weight of their cantankerous father Lou's care as he grapples with the onset of dementia and hospitalization. Their mother, Pat, having emotionally abandoned them and their father after the divorce, leaves a void which Eve tries to fill. Haunted by an unforgivable incident with Lou seven years prior, Eve is determined to care for him, despite the mounting stress that threatens her sanity. The paradox of Eve's situation lies in her sisters' belief that they are part of their father's care, yet they remain conspicuously absent when it comes to lifting a finger to help. Navigating her own life's turmoil while managing Lou's care, Eve must decipher how to keep herself afloat in the turbulent sea of family responsibility and personal sanity.
